VFC interface list buttons
{ Add—Click this button to add a VFC interface (see "Adding a VFC interface").
{ Delete—Click this button to delete VFC interfaces (see "Deleting VFC interfaces").
{ Batch Configure—Click this button to configure the administrative status and mode of VFC
interfaces in batch (see "Batch configuring the administrative status and mode of VFC
in
terfaces").
{ State Setting—This button contains two options: Enable Port and Disable Port, which can be
used to enable and disable a VFC interface, respectively.
{ Refresh—Click this button to get the latest VFC interface list.
VFC interface list contents
{ Status—Operational status of the VFC interface. Options include the following:
Unmanaged—The VFC interface is not under management of the IMC Platform.
Unknown—The IMC Platform cannot obtain the status of the CEE interface.
Disabled—The VFC interface is disabled by the operator.
Up—The VFC interface works correctly.
Down—The VFC interface is enabled, but the link status is down.
{ Name—Type and number of the VFC interface.
{ WWN—WWN of the VFC interface. The WWN is factory assigned.
{ Operation Mode—Operational mode of the VFC interface. Options include E, F, and NP. You
can configure VFC interfaces on an FCF switch to operate in E or F mode. You can configure
VFC interfaces on an NPV switch to operate in F or NP mode. VFC interfaces operating in E
mode can interconnect FCF switches. Typically, a VFC interface operating in F mode can
connect to a VFC interface operating in NP mode on an NPV switch, a server, or a storage
device.
{ Bind Ethernet Interface—Ethernet interface bound to the VFC interface.
{ Bind MAC Address—Peer FCoE MAC address bound to the VFC interface.
{ Trunk VSANVSANs allowed by the VFC interface. Click the VSAN ID link to manage VSANs
(see "Managing VSANs of a VFC interface")
.
{ Operation—Click the link to display the menu that includes the following options:
Enable Port—Select this option to enable the VFC interface. This option appears only for
disabled interfaces.
Disable Port—Select this option to disable the VFC interface. This option appears only for
enabled interfaces.
Modify Port Configuration—Select this option to modify the interface configuration (see
"Modifying a VFC interface")
.
Uplink-to-Downlink Interface Mapping—Select this option to configure uplink-to-downlink
interface mappings (see "Configuring uplink-to-downlink interface mappings")
. This option
appears only for F-mode VFC interfaces on an NPV switch when you access the Switch
page from the fabric resources tree.
Querying VFC interfaces
1. On the upper right corner of the VFC interface list, enter a partial or complete VFC interface name
in the query control , and click to display all VFC interfaces that match the
entered name.
