Viewing EVI IS-IS settings
1. Access the Device Configuration page.
2. Click the Operation icon for an EVI service and select View EVI IS-IS Settings.
The following EVI IS-IS settings are displayed:
{ DED Priority—DED priority of the device. The edge device with higher DED priority is more
likely to be elected as a DED. If two edge devices have the same DED priority, the device with
the highest MAC address is elected.
{ Hello Interval—Hello packet sending interval. A short hello interval helps reduce network
convergence time.
{ Track Entry—Track entry associated with the EVI service.
{ Hello Multiplier—Hello multiplier for calculating the adjacency hold time.
{ LSP Interval—Minimum LSP sending interval.
{ CSNP Interval—CSNP packet sending interval. This setting takes effect only on DEDs.
{ LSP Count—Maximum number of LSPs sent at each interval.
{ Preferred VLANs—Preferred VLANs for the device. The DED assigns the device the preferred
VLANs as long as possible.
{ LSP Refresh Interval—LSP refresh interval.
{ Maximum LSP Lifetime—Maximum lifetime of LSPs.
3. Click Close.
Configuring MAC addresses for selective flooding
Selective flooding enables an edge device to send an unknown unicast or multicast frame out of an EVI
tunnel interface. This function is designed for special multicast addresses that require flooding across
sites but cannot be added to a multicast forwarding table by IGMP snooping. For example, you must
configure selective flood for PIM hellos, IGMP general query packets, and Microsoft NLBS cluster traffic
to be sent out of an EVI tunnel interface.
To enable selective flooding for a MAC address:
1. Access the Device Configuration page.
2. Click the Operation icon for an EVI service and select Configure MACs for Selective
Flooding.
The Configure Selective Flooding dialog box appears.
3. Configure the following parameters:
{ MAC—Enter the MAC address to be enabled with selective flooding.
{ VLAN ID—Enter the VLAN ID for the MAC address.
4. Click Add.
5. To delete MAC addresses, select one or multiple MAC addresses and click Delete.
6. Click OK.
Configuring EVI IS-IS settings
1. Access the Device Configuration page.
2. Click the Operation icon for an EVI service and select Configure EVI IS-IS Settings.
The Configure EVI IS-IS Settings dialog box appears.
