{ Extended VLANs—Enter a comma-separated list of VLAN items. One item is a VLAN ID or a
hyphenated VLAN ID range. Value range for VLAN IDs is 1 to 4094. For example,
1-10,50-100,500-4094.
IMPORTANT:
For data security, make sure all edge devices in the EVI service have the same extended
VLANs.
Extended VLANs of two EVI services cannot overlap.
{ Tunnel Interface—Enter the EVI tunnel interface number.
{ Source IP—Enter the source IP address or interface for the tunnel. VFM displays available IP
addresses or interfaces automatically when you enter an IP address or interface name string.
EVI uses the specified address or the primary IP address of the specified source interface as the
source IP address of tunneled packets on the transport network.
{ EVI Flooding Status—Configure the status of the EVI flooding function.
{ ARP Flood Suppression Status—Configure the status of the ARP flooding suppression function.
{ ENDP RoleConfigure the device as an ENDS or ENDC. Table 8 shows the necessity of ENDS
address configuration for each role.
IMPORTANT:
For each edge device to obtain the addresses of all its EVI nei
g
hbors, make sure the ENDSs are
the same across the EVI network.
{ ENDS Address 1—Set the first ENDS address by using the following procedure:
Click Select Devices to select the ENDS.
After the ENDS is selected, click Select Port to select the EVI tunnel source interface of the
ENDS. VFM will populate the ENDS Address 1 field with the IP address of the EVI tunnel
source interface.
NOTE
The port selection page only displays interfaces that have IP addresses. Before you can specify
the IP address of an ENDS, you must assign an IP address to its EVI tunnel source interface.
{ ENDS Address 2—Set the second ENDS address. The procedure is the same as you set the first
ENDS address.
Table 8 Necessity of ENDS address configuration for each ENDP role
ENDP role ENDS address 1
ENDS address 2
ENDS Optional N/A
ENDC Required Optional
4. Click OK.
Removing an EVI service from a device
To remove a device from an existing EVI network, remove the EVI service for the EVI network on the
device. VFM automatically undeploys an EVI service from the device immediately after you remove it. To
undeploy an entire EVI network, see "Managing EVI services."
