5 Managing DCs
A Data Center (DC) provides various network services, and serves as the center for data processing,
storage, and exchange. A DC enables you to manage multiple resources in a centralized manner. For
example, a DC manages not only traditional network devices such as routers, switches, and security
devices, but also IT devices such as storage devices and servers.
VFM enables you to manage not only DCs in VFM, but also network devices, servers, and storage
devices in the DCs. A device must be imported into a DC before it is used for specific services. DC
management is the basis for SAN management and LAN management.
