a. Right-click on a blank area, and, from the shortcut menu, select Adjust Background >
Manual Adjust.
You are in background picture adjustment mode.
b. Right-click on a blank area, and, from the shortcut menu, select Exit Adjust Background to
exit the background picture adjustment mode.
Setting a scale
The scale of a topology is the ratio of a distance on the background picture to the corresponding
actual distance.
To set a scale:
1. Click the Service tab.
2. From the navigation tree, select WLAN Manager > Wireless Topology.
The wireless device topology window appears.
3. On the left navigation tree, enter the location view for which you want to set the scale.
4. Click the Set Scale icon .
5. Draw a line on the background picture when the cursor changes to .
The Specify the actual distance window appears.
6. Enter a value in the Actual Distance field, and select a measure unit.
7. Click OK.
The scale appears in the upper right corner of the location view.
MU locating
MU locating can only be performed by APs supporting MU.
To implement MU locating, you must enable the AC and the AP to support MU at the CLI, and create
an RSSI fingerprint database through sampling.
Managing monitoring clients
APs that support MU scan channels and add discovered clients to the monitoring client list. Clients in
the monitoring list are monitored in real time and can be used as sampling clients.
Viewing the monitoring client list
1. Click the Service tab.
2. From the navigation tree, select WLAN Manager > Locating Management.
The Locating Management page appears.
3. In the MU Locating area, click the Monitoring clients link.
The Monitoring Clients page appears, displaying all clients being monitored.
Monitoring Clients list
{ MAC Address—MAC address of the client.
{ Username—Username used by the client to access the wireless network.
