Support for VEB

VCM support for VEB requires the cooperation of VRM, a subcomponent of the IMC Platform. VCM

relies on VRM to obtain the VM status and access location information for VSI Type deployment and

undeployment. For information about VRM, see H3C IMC Base Platform Administrator Guide.

As shown in Figure 1:

1. VRM detects VM status changes on the physical server.

2. VCM obtains the VM information from VRM.

3. VCM finds the VSI Type bound to the VM, and then deploys or undeploys the VSI Type to the

edge switch that connects to the physical server of the VM.

The VRM component must be correctly configured before you use VCM in the VEB solution. For

information about how to configure VRM, see "3 Preparations."
